deerpath lookout bed & breakfast inn okanagan bc

All guests are encouraged to take in the natural surroundings at Deerpath Lookout.

There are many private lookouts along the migratory deer paths and trails that criss-cross our property where you can watch the diversity of wildlife that find their homes here. The scent of pine and sage fills the air.

Deerpath Lookout is ideally situated in the heart of the South Okanagan region of British Columbia and is surrounded by vineyards, orchards, organic farms and numerous recreational sites. This semi-arid desert region has over 2000 hours of sunshine and only 3.2 cm of rain per year. The average temperature in the summer is 28ºC.

We are minutes away from The Desert Centre, the White Lake Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, Fairview Mountain Golf Club, St. Andrews by the Lake and Twin Lakes Golf Course. Other nearby points of interest include Skaha Bluffs for rock climbing, Apex Mountain and Mount Baldy for skiing, Cathedral Lakes and Keremeos and the Old Grist Mill, to mention but a few. Each of these destinations and more offer a variety of activities for all to enjoy.

The South Okanagan is home to many fine wineries. We would encourage all guests to take the time to explore the diversity of flavours that each winery has to offer. We are minutes away from the best wineries that the South Okanagan has to offer and we will be pleased to provide you with this information at any time.

We are surrounded by walking trails and hiking and biking trails that meander through the pine forests and open grasslands and along the lakes here in the Okanagan. The Kettle Valley Railroad is very close as well. We are a pet-friendly location and will be pleased to welcome you and your travelling companions here. This area is a wonderful place to enjoy a very peaceful and relaxing holiday.
